2012 has seen many challenges so far, after running with various teams and different Karts Robbie has decided upon the Tony Kart as it seems to suit his smooth driving style.

Robbie is with the Hobzie Motorsport team for 2012. The team is a multi-championship winning team, having won some 58 championships in the last 10 years.

This is only Robbie’s third full season in Karting and with three years in the Junior Rotax ahead of him 2012 has been earmarked as a year for experience of many different circuits around the UK and abroad.

In the UK there are two championships that Robbie is competing in. The first is the Clay Pigeon championship which based at the famous Clay Pigeon track situated just outside Dorchester. This is the circuit where Jenson Button honed his skills at and won championships at. Robbie has already won the Clay Pigeon Honda Cadet championship in 2009 and this was the first ever circuit he competed in his first Kart race.

The other UK championship is the Dunkeswell championship, this is held at the circuit that Nigel Mansell owns and is based near Honiton in Devon, Robbie broke and held the lap record in the Honda Cadet class for two years.

The most exciting development is that Robbie is taking part in the BNL Championship, this is based in Belgium and France and is a major European championship. This championship is held over three weekends and each weekend is a double header event, with maximum grids of 36 junior Rotax, it is great experience for Robbie and great preparation for 2013 when it is planned for Robbie to compete in the pinnacle of the junior Rotax championships.
